Our work co-designing a culturally safe clinical trials navigation pathway for Métis cancer patients has received a 2026 Platinum Facilitation Impact Award from the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).
The IAF’s Facilitation Impact Awards recognize organizations around the world that have achieved a measurable positive impact through facilitation. Nominations are scored against eight criteria, and Platinum is the highest level of recognition. This award honours the project Co-designing a Culturally Sensitive Clinical Trials Navigation Pathway for Métis Cancer Patients, led by Clinical Trials Navigator Inc.
The pathway was built through a facilitated co-design process with Métis patient partners, Indigenous Patient Navigators, researchers and clinicians. It began with mapping the patient journey and continued through national workshops that produced the 8 Core Elements of the Métis Pathway Program. This recognition belongs to everyone who brought their knowledge and experience into that room.
