Clinical Trial Navigation, Built for Indigenous Peoples in Canada
If you or someone you love is facing a cancer diagnosis, you deserve care that sees you fully — your identity, your values, and your needs. The CTN Indigenous Pathway connects Indigenous patients with clinical trial opportunities through navigators who understand your journey.

Built With Indigenous Communities
Indigenous Peoples make up 5% of the Canadian population — yet only 2.5% of CTN users have identified as Indigenous. That gap isn’t about eligibility. It’s about a system that hasn’t made space.
This pathway was co-developed with First Nations and Métis communities and is guided by navigators with lived experience — because real access starts with people who understand yours. An Inuit-specific pathway is in development.
Support That Wraps Around You
Our Indigenous Patient Navigators are here to walk alongside you — not just point the way.
Cultural Safety
Navigators who understand Indigenous experiences and honour your identity throughout the process.
Traditional Medicine
Using traditional medicine should not exclude you from taking part in a clinical trial. We work to ensure it is respected as part of your care.
Financial Support
We work with the Canadian Cancer Society to help find financial support for travel, accommodation, and out-of-pocket costs, so finances don’t stand between you and treatment.
Your Data, Your Rights
Data governance is aligned with OCAP® and OCAS principles.
